The maze is very crude and irregular, much more irregular than my diagram would suggest. Verbrugge displays this maze with the entrance at the bottom (which is how it is oriented in situ ) and remarks "N'évoque-t-il pas l'Arbre de Vie but de toute quête spirituelle authentique?", with the implication that what I have labelled as errors are in fact deliberate.
